WELCOME

Hello!!! We want to welcome you to our English blog. We would like to offer you different activities, videos or games we have found on the internet, so you can play with your child at home, and review the vocabulary and grammar they are learning at school. Learning a foreign language is easier through playing, and new technologies can help them, because it is a fun and great way to learn English. We hope you enjoy these activities as much as your child does, and help you as parents to use different tools to help your child with this language. You can also comment with any concerns you have or if you like or dislike any activity. Thank you and we hope you have fun playing the games and singing the songs with your child!

2º Natural Science. FLOWERING AND NON-FLOWERING PLANTS. (Atividad para DRIVE) + LW opcional

FLOWERING AND NON-FLOWERING PLANTS

Good morning everyone!

A new day has come and we are going to keep learning about plants.

Today we will see the difference between FLOWERING and NON-FLOWERING plants.

(Hoy seguiremos aprendiendo sobre las plantas. Veremos que existen plantas CON flor y plantas SIN flor.)

As we can see in our daily life, most plants are FLOWERING plants, they have bright colours and they produce different types of seeds to reproduce.

Although you know it from the previous year, let’s have a look at the parts of a flower and how they reproduce.

On the other hand there also exist NON-FLOWERING plants, like ferns and mosses, which do not produce seeds. They use spores to reproduce instead.

Spores…?? Ferns…?? Mosses…?? What are you talking about, teacher?
Let’s see it clearer with some videos we hope help you to understand it better.

And to end up with today's videos, here you have some examples I've recorded at home...I'm sorry but I don't have ferns or mosses...

Just in case it doesn't work:
